The Freedom Sand Chair
This chair was made using an alternative “yarn” source. You will have to make your own yarn for this pattern. I have included this tutorial as well. It is called “How to make your fleece “yarn” for knitting
This chair is big enough to fit an average size person.
I would rate this pattern to be on the easy scale.
Skills needed: Knit, Purl
Measurements: Approx 3 feet wide x 4 foot long
Materials: 16 yards of fleece fabric.
1 twin size flat sheet (you will need to fold this in half from top to bottom and sew around the 3 open sides. This will become your liner to hold your stuffing.
1 ½ bags of bean bag filling. I use this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Popped-Polystyrene-Bean-Bag-Ref...
Needle size: Go-Girl Giant knitting needles. These can ONLY be found at www.gogirlknitting.com here is a link to the page to buy them: http://www.gogirlknitting.com/The_GIANT_Collection.php
Please note you will need the Giants 40”L. The baby Giants will be too small to hold all of your stitches. Please feel free to ask Tammy (the owner of Go-Girl Knitting, LLC) any questions you may have about your needles before you buy them. She also has an Etsy shop here:
