The Freedom Sand Rug
This Rug was made using an alternative “yarn” source. You will have to make your own yarn for this pattern. I have included this tutorial as well. It is called “How to make your fleece “yarn” for knitting
I would rate this pattern to be on the easy scale.
Skills needed: Knit, Purl
Measurements: Approx 50 wide x 70 long
Materials: 10 yards of fleece cut into “yarn”. 2 yards of uncut fleece (optional) this will be if you would like to sew on a back to your rug. I also used a tube of liquid stitch to (sew) on the back. I am not big on sewing. If you would like to make this a nonskid rug you can take some puff paint and put it on the back to keep it from moving around.
Needle size: US 120’s Go-Girl Giant knitting needles. These can ONLY be found at www.gogirlknitting.com Please note you will need the Giants 40”L. The baby Giants will be too small to hold all of your stitches. Please feel free to ask Tammy (the owner of Go-Girl Knitting, LLC) any questions you may have about your needles before you buy them. She also has an Etsy shop here:

You do have my permission to sell whatever you make. I only ask that you mention my Etsy or Ravelry shop (luckyhanks.com) in your listings for items made from this pattern. You may NOT sell this pattern.
I cannot accept returns/issue refunds on patterns because they are sent as a file. I am confident in my work and my ability to write patterns, and will always offer help with the pattern, if needed, to my customers. Just contact me.
