The Frost of Yule by Catherine Knutsson

The Frost of Yule

The winter solstice - the longest night of the year. The hearth is decorated with holly and evergreens, and the house smells of gingerbread and pine. The Yule log crackles in the fireplace while frost leaves its filigree over the window panes. The longest night of the year, Draw the Frost of Yule shawl a little closer, light a candle, and think of all the good things to come!

The Frost of Yule shawl is a triangular shawl knit from the top down. It can be worked in a single colour, or in a striped version, using two (or more!) colours. This shawl was designed to thank all the hard working testers who have helped me over the past year. I couldn’t do what I do without your talent, generosity, and kindness. Thank you so much for everything!

The single yarn sample was worked with Crooked Kitchen Yarn’s Merinoh! Singles Fingering in the “Silver Fox in the Berry Patch” colourway. The striped version was worked with Ancient Art Fiber Craft’s BFL Fingering in the “Adire” and “Not Your Mama’s Jeans” colourways.
