+Tapestry Needle

+Stitch Markers (I like to keep mine at every 10 stitches with a larger or brightly colored marker for start of row)This is not necessary in the solid color section but is very helpful when keeping your place in the colorwork chart.
+Highlighter to draw on the colorwork chart as you go for easy row tracking
Gauge:
-22 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inch square
Notes:
-Cowl is worked in one piece in the round.
-Use a crochet provisional cast-on and do not include it in your row count.
-When you reach the last row you will fold over so the wrong sides of the fabric are together and sew the two live ends together using the Kitchener Stitch. This provides a more sensory friendly experience with a smooth fabric surface on skin contact.
