This hat has a rib brim. The body is worked in moss (seed) stitch and cable. The finished hat knits up to fit a pretty medium to larger head size. For a smaller head size I would suggest reducing the needle size slightly. I used Women’s Institute Soft & Chunky yarn which is an acrylic/merino mix and supper soft. However, any chunky yarn would be fine, just swatch to check your tension. There was enough yarn left over for me to make a good sized pom pom at the end - so perfect for the 120 yards ball I used.
