Isis was one of the greatest goddesses of Ancient Egypt. She was known as the goddess of the Moon. As goddess of life and magic, Isis
protected women and children and healed the sick. Her symbols were the ankh, her wings, and her throne headdress. She was
usually portrayed in art as a human woman wearing a throne-like hieroglyph on her head. She was the sister and wife of Osiris.
Isis and Osiris had a son named Horus.
YARN USED: Zegna Baruffa art. Vitty (100% extra-fine merino wool, 2600 m 2844 yds per 100 g, Color: Phlox) using 3 strands of yarn held together. The sample shown used 76 grams of yarn.
1 The shawl is worked from the top down, has a crescent shape.
