The Golden Hinde Sunset
From my perch on my back deck I enjoy an incredible view westward to Strathcona Park. The mountains pierce the sky along the horizon. As the Seasons change so does the location of the sunset moving from Southwest in Winter to Northwest in Summer and it is here, in the summer-time that the sunsets behind The Golden Hinde are really spectacular. At times the colours of the sunset seep through like a multi-layer cake; layer upon layer shades of pinks, oranges, and reds paint the horizon until the last one sinks below the peak. Mmmm what a lovely way to finish the day…
The Golden Hinde (2200 meters) is the highest mountain on Vancouver Island

This is the other “half” of the Fade Set Day Two. I used approx. 380g for this project and 320g for Salish Sea Sunrise. The benefit of ordering as a Fade Set is that it is custom dyed, so the colours blend well together. You may want to “share” a Fade Set with a knitting friend or be ready to knit two projects.
