The 'Good Fit' Handwarmer
This is a very quick and satisfying make if you have some spare DK in your stash and cold hands. I found that other hand warmers I made didn’t fit my hand as snugly as I wanted it to - I didn’t want them too tight either. By working them lengthways with alternating wide and narrow stitches, and with some cunning folding at the end, it is possible to get a good fit which covers the palm without being too baggy around the fingers.
Gauge isn’t too important here, but check that the piece wraps around your fingers comfortably before beginning the palm section in row 22. If it is too narrow because you are a tight hooker or have bigger hands, just add more rows. If you want a longer wrist section, add more length to the starting chain and add more half trebles accordingly.
You only need 50g of DK yarn for a pair of these so they are a good way of using up left over balls from other projects.
Instructions use UK crochet terms.
