The Graphic Clan Pullover
Sue Mink says “Ideas come from many sources. When I travel, I usually carry a camera and a notebook to record the things I see that could translate into sweaters. Sometimes my intentions are better than my note keeping. With these sweaters, such is the case. I found this design in the back of one of my notebooks, quickly graphed with a notation ‘Rug Border’. I really have no idea where it came from!
“When I started to work with it in yarn, I could see that it could go in any direction. Because of the classic properties of basic ethnic patterns (of which I am nearly certain this is one), there are many different color and texture combinations that work well. My sketch indicated only two colors, but I like it also with three. What a great pattern to use for a ‘family’ of sweaters!”
