Welcome to a new season of Sock Knitter’s Anonymous mystery knit-alongs!

During the month of September, we will be inspired by the Great British Bake Off. Each week, you will be presented with a new challenge inspired by delicious baked treats. Included with each part of the mystery will be a coordinating recipe! Use these to inspire yourself to finish the clues on time, or console yourself if you can’t finish right away. (All recipes have been given the thumb’s up of approval from the greenethumb family.)

SIZES: There are four size options for this pattern. Additionally, there will be options on the foot to adjust for your perfect length.

GAUGE: These socks should be knit at the correct gauge to assure a good fit. Apparently, I’m a tight knitter and need to use 2.75mm needles to get that gauge. Please avoid sorrow, gnashing of teeth, and a trip to the frog pond by using the correct size of needles that will give YOU the right gauge.

MATERIALS: Unless perhaps you are knitting socks with very long feet, a standard 100 gm/440 yard skein of sock yarn will be sufficient to knit these socks.
