The Handy Cup Cosy
So you’ve been knitting all year and you’ve got lots of little balls of left over DK yarn. There’s not much you can make with them, but you can make something. And one of the things you can make is The Handy Cup Cosy!
This cute and practical cup cosy makes a great gift for either yourself or someone else. Designed for reusable and single use cups from your local or national takeaway coffee stores, it not only protects your hand from getting too hot from the cup, but the pocket also keeps your fingers warm from the elements as you stroll down the high street or around the park.
This simple, fun and very quick colourwork pattern is knitted flat and joined as per the pattern instructions. You can adjust the knit of your cup cosy to fit the size of your usual coffee cup, but the measurements given will fit most cups from the major coffee chains.
Yarn requirements: Any odds and ends of DK yarn. Approx 45m for main colour, 22m for the contrast colour and 10m for the alternate colour.
