The Hat Family Ribbed Beanie
Here is a very straightforward pattern for a ribbed beanie hat in 4 sizes.
The pattern is very stretchy with lots of “give”. The men’s size would also be suitable for ladies with larger heads; the ladies size fits late teens onward, (small to medium); the teen’s size fits from around age 7 to 14; and the toddler size approx. age 2 to 6.
Hat measurements:
MENS: circumference 48cm/19” - length 35cm/14”
LADIES: circumference 46cm/18” - length 30cm/12”
TEENS: circumference 43cm/17” - length 25cm/10”
TODDLER: circumference 41cm/16” - length 22cm/8.5”
I’ve used a 5mm (H) hook, and James Brett Aztec Aran for these hats, however most aran/worsed yarn can be substituted. Check your tension and adjust start chain or use a different hook.
The format is English crochet (UK) stitches/terminology, (please refer to a UK stitch guide, and not YouTube, if unsure of stitches!).
