The Hilla Beanie by WeekendKnits is a lace and cable knit beanie that can be knit either with or without a folded rib edge. Available in two sizes - Adult and Junior.

Suggested yarn is Nepal by Drops (63%wool 35%alpaca, 50g=75m) and the recommended gauge: 22 stitches x 23 rows = 10 x 10cm in 1 k 1p ribbing knit in the round with the 5mm (US8) needles without stretching/blocking. 2 skeins needed for the junior size and 3 for the adult size.

Needles used: Circular needles size 5mm (US 8)/40cm, double pointed needles size 5mm (US 8) and cable needle for making the cables (can be substituted with the double pointed needles).

Knitting pattern includes instructions for making a pom pom for the top of the hat.
