Slay the dragon of the stash and drag those jewels of yarns out of your long-hoarded pile of sock yarn to knit this playful pair of socks. An easy to work pattern with only one colour worked at any one time creates a dazzling accessory for your precious feet.

Sizes
Choose the size closest to your actual size. The pattern contains negative ease. Foot lengths are easily adjustable.

To fit actual foot sizes:
S:17.5/7 inches circumference and 23cm/9in in length
M: 20.5/ 8 in circumference and foot length 25.5cm/10in
L: 23cm/9 in circumference and foot length 28cm/11 in
For an XS/teen size follow the instructions for the S and the brief notes included.

Needles:
2.25mm (US 1) needle or correct needle size to achieve gauge and a needle 1mm or 1-2 US sizes smaller for ribbing (if desired). Pattern is written for one needle magic loop, but you may substitute your preferred method of small circumference knitting.

Gauge:
32 sts over 10cm/4in in pattern & stockinette

Yarn and yardage:
Malabrigo sock, 1 skein each of Disfraz (main colour MC) and Fucsia (contrast colour CC) or the following amounts of sock weight yarn: S: MC 228yds/208m, CC 195yds/177m M: MC 297yds/270m, CC 253yds/230m L: MC 365yds/332m, CC 311yds/283m Always allow extra yarn Skills required: Knitting in the round Increasing and decreasing Notions Tapestry needle to weave in ends and stitch marker or waste yarn to mark rounds, half rounds, and points for heel.
