This pattern is designed for a quick make shouldnt take more than a half hour to make, I used a 5.5mm hook and really neat yarn called premier home colors honeydew and carrot which personally is my fav!! I made this rug to help soak any drips that happen drinking coffee slushy or any drink for that matter.. you shouldnt need more than 40 yards of each color because the final size for this creation is 5 1/2 in by 6 1/2 in so really not that big! But I have a really cute surprise that I added to this design and that is a starfish !! Thats right a starfish I figured using the half shell sttitch why not throw in a starfish to go along!! lol This easy design does not necessary need this type of yarn to make I just chose it because it was cotton which help absorb moisture when needed and also wahes really good which means it holds its shape really well
