hygge (noun): a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being…
The Hygge Cowl was designed to be a comfy cozy & easy to wear cowl that you’ll want to grab for day after day.
This fun accessory piece is the perfect layer for extra warmth, whether you’re lounging at home or out and about.
Sizes
Standard (Relaxed) 22.5 (24.25)” / 57 (61.5) cm finished collar circumference
Knit flat in a garter slip stitch pattern to start, the cowl is then joined in the round and worked in herringbone stitch. This pattern uses DK weight yarn, held double throughout, to create a light bulky weight marled fabric.

Suggested Needles & Notions
- Needle A - US 10.5 / 6.5 mm, 24” & 32” circulars (main needle)
- Needle B - US 11 / 8 mm (24”) circular
- Needle C - US 13 / 9 mm, 16” (24”) circular

Note: I suggest using interchangeable needles which will allow you to use a smaller size LHN for the herringbone stitch sections. This will not affect gauge but makes herringbone easier to work.
