This pattern was obviously inspired by Stephen West’s Eyeball shawl. When I saw this pattern I loved it but didn’t want to knit a circle from the center out. I still haven’t bought that pattern! I just wanted to be inspired by the shape and size of it, not the actual construction. This is a seamless crochet shawl pattern started from the center, the wings on each side are worked flat and seamlessly joined to the center. A single crochet border is added to bring the whole shawl together and helps with blocking it to shape.
