The Inlet Shawl
This piece is all about the fabric – and, yes, color. The knitting is straightforward, with just a bit of chevron pizazz to show off some striping.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
Please note these are yarn estimates. The amount used will depend on yarn, your personal gauge, and any modifications you make.
Dimond Laine Elmer Tweed Fingering (70% Merino, 30% Cashmere; 200 yards per 50g); 2 skeins
&
Dimond Laine Birdie (74% Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk; 328 yards per 50g); 5 TOTAL skeins; 2 skeins MC, 1 each of 3 CCs.
Or
Approx. 350 yds each of a fingering-weight and a laceweight yarn held double for MC, and 175 yds each of three colors of a laceweight yarn to hold double for CC chevron stripes.
NOTE: Yarn is held double throughout.

Gauge Needle: US 10 (6mm) 32” circular needles, or straight needles - or size needed for gauge.
