The Innie/Outie Sweater
Introducing: The Innie/Outie Sweater pattern. Your guide to knitting a simple, stylish sweater.
Everyone loves to knit and sport their classic sweaters - and that’s all well and good - but have you ever tried rocking one inside-out??? Reverse stockinette is a stunning stitch. Start playing with stripes and different colors, and you’re not going to believe your eyes. The texture, the interplay of the colors -- the flipside NEEDS its chance to shine.
So, here we are! The Innie/Outie Sweater: a knitting pattern, written for 9 sizes, that will suit any body with a chest circumference from 28”-64”. This is a beginner-friendly breeze to knit and the texture will make it a standout in your wardrobe: simple enough to dress down, but with an interesting enough flair that you can rock it as a statement piece, too! We love.
This is a beginner-accessible, easy knitting project (1.5 out of 5). You only really need to know a small handful of techniques, and these few techniques are among the most beginner-friendly out there. Trust me, you’ve got this!
You’ll need about 200-400 yards of super chunky yarn in your main color, and 66-88 yards of super chunky yarn in each of your three contrast colors. I recommend So Woolly (Premier Yarns), Simply Super Chunky (Paintbox Yarns), and The Wool (We Are Knitters). Gauge is 7 stitches per 4”, so any yarn that achieves that gauge will work! Be sure to have circular knitting needles, a stitch marker and tapestry needle on hand, too!
Happy knitting!!
