The Ivy Scarf is named after a special Aunty called Ivy whom I grew up with . It is crocheted in beautiful Cleckheaton Superfine Merino which is so soft but drapes beautifully due to the weight . I’ve used a discontinued colour but there are so many other beautiful colours to choose from including Marmalade .

You’ll need to know how to do chain , double crochet , treble , cross stitch , flat braid join and bobbles so I guess it’s not an easy one for beginners - having said that I’d give it a try . I’ve used UK terms in my written instructions .

You need just under two 65 g balls of this yarn and two different crochet hooks to make this cowl/ scarf .

You can also make the Cowl /scarf in Cleckheaton California 8 ply ( 2 balls ) or a double length version in Cleckheaton Lawson Tweed 12 ply ( 4 balls ) . You will receive all three variations when you download the pattern . These last two yarns are discontinued so use any 8 ply or 12 ply you have in your stash . Or mix it up with two 4 plys for the 8 and and 8 plus a 4 for the 12 ply .
