“The Jeronimo Beanie” is a Beginner-level project that will take your knitting skills to the next level. The pattern involves a mix of knits and purls, decrease stitches, and the art of joining and knitting in the round.

NEEDLE SIZES

For this project, you’ll need a set of US 11 / 8 mm - 16” / 40cm circular needles, US 13 / 9 mm - 16” / 40cm circular needles and US 13 / 9 mm - DPN’s

SUGGESTED YARN

The pattern recommends using UDON from Hobbii. You may also use any other super bulky yarn of yout preference. The choice of UDON complements the design, adding to the beanie’s warmth and luxurious and soft texture. If you decide to work with other super bulky yarn options, make sure that you match the specified gauge.

YARN REQUIREMENTS

To make the beanie as suggested in the pattern for the regular or unfolded brim, you will need: 71 yards / 65 m; 137 g / 4.8 oz. If you decide to work on the folded brim beanie, you will need 91 yards / 83 m; 174 g / 6.2 oz

GAUGE

4” x 4” / 10cm x 10cm = 11 sts x 15 rnds (in cable pattern st and using US 13 / 9 mm needles, after blocking)
