Vintage inspiration comes from many places, and this one takes me back to my childhood and a familiar shape that meant popcorn was on the way! I still remember anxiously awaiting while the Jiffy Pop did it’s thing on the stove top. Let’s clarify however, the shape inspiration is the Jiffy Pop halfway popped, not the fully popped shape – reminiscent of the Star Trek reference shown in the pattern photos. (Oh yes, Mary is a Trekkie and I am sure one of our future patterns will be Tribble inspired!)

Optional flower gives the hat the perfect amount of detail and amps up the ’sweet’ factor.
