The Kingfisher Cardigan
Pattern difficulty: Intermediate (not advised for beginners)
Sizing:
FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE. This pattern is written based on measurements and can be easily adjusted to your custom measurements. The pattern includes suggested measurements to create adult sizes Small (US women’s sizes 4-6) Medium (sizes 8-10) and Large (sizes 12-14) just as a guideline, but the pattern includes sizing tips to customize your sweater to fit ANY size, width, or length. So no worries if you are not between an adult size S-L, you can totally make this sweater! I write my patterns this way to give you the creative freedom to make your sweater to fit your unique size and style preferences.
You will need:
Approx 1500-2000 yards of size 4 yarn, not including fringe (Yardage will depend upon the size of your cardigan and your gauge. I used just under 6 skeins of Caron Simply Soft for my cardigan in size Small, and 1 skein of Big Twist Chunky for the fringe.)
I like to use size 4 yarns that are slightly thinner and lighter than worsted weight, such as Caron Simply Soft or Lion Brand Heartland. This prevents the sweater from being too heavy or baggy.
