The Laguna Cowl is the first in a collection of crochet patterns that will be released this year. As I was coming up with the series of textured stitches I wanted for this collection of cold weather pieces, I imagined a trip to the mountains. The combination of stitches I use, Cobblestone and Alpine stitches, remind me of Mount Laguna’s pine trees and snowy peak.

• This pattern uses the Cobblestone st (tr, sc) and Alpine st (FPdc, dc) alternating each round.
• This pattern can be customizable to your measurements. Simply add or subtract chains from the initial chain in multiples of 2.
• Yarn – Medium worsted weight 4 (I used I Love This Yarn in Ivory Tweed and Yarn Bee Rustic Romantic in Red Roads) Approximately 225 Yards
• Hook – US I (5.5mm)
• Measures 30” circumference x 7.5” tall
• Gauge - not necessary to meet exactly, only for reference:
  13 st x 10 rows = 4 x 4 inch (10cm) alternating FPdc and dc in the round
