The Landlubber is an aran design for children in double knitting yarn. The blue example is in Cascade 200 Superwash and the pink uses Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, both chosen for their softness and warmth. Any yarn of the same gauge would work and you will need between 250 - 350 g. The design has an oxo cable, a folded cable and an attractive and very easy central braid. It is surprisingly simple with a pattern repeat of just 12 rows that are easy to memorise and instructions are given for approximate ages 1 to 8 years.
