This pattern is available for $3.00.

A breezy, stretchy cotton mesh cardigan with loose mesh bell sleeves. The bodice is cropped by default, but you’ll find instructions for increasing the length for each size.

Sizes XS to XXL. This pattern is incredibly forgiving of size, which was my goal in creating it. I wanted to make something that was inclusive and easy to modify, regardless of your size or build.

The pattern is worked in three major parts: the halves of the sweater, then the strip to connect these halves in the back. The construction steps are as follows:

  1. Create the mesh sleeve

Start crocheting the front/back flaps right onto the top of each sleeve, chaining at the armpit to achieve the desired bodice length.

    1. Crochet in rows, working into your chain stitches around the back of your sweater until the fabric sits on your shoulder.

    2. Create a slim back panel following one of several patterns.

    3. Join each half of the sweater to the back panel.

    4. Add sc and front post SC stitches to the lapels and bottom to add a bit of structure.
