Leningrad Cowboys are a Finnish rock band that has also featured in two films by the legendary Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki. The fictitious backstory of the band places their origins in Siberia, Russia, with the ambitious aim to take over America.

The Leningrad Cowboy Boot Sock takes inspiration from the band’s trademark hairstyle and boots, that parody both 1950s Teddy Boy look as well as the winkle-picker pointed shoe style that was originally born as a fad called crakowes in the Middle Ages.

This one-size-fits-all adult size pattern gives you the instructions for a simple sock pattern, that you can adapt to different yarn weights and needle sizes, as well as any top-to-toe sock pattern with lace, cables or colourwork.
