A friend asked me to design a fun, novelty hat for her son to wear while he is snowboarding, and this is the result.

Quick and easy to knit on large needles, using just single rib and stockinette. The sides are shaped by using short rows and a youtube tutorial link for this is included in the pattern.
You will also need a stitch holder, scissors, and a crochet hook for the fringing.
