This beautiful flower blanket design popped into my head whilst I was drawing with my granddaughter Adeline, I thought let’s do a child’s imitation drawing of a flower garden.

It is made up of US single crochets and puff stitches or bobble stitches. There is a reference to the UK stitch term within the pattern notes.

To make this pattern you will need a size 4 mm hook with dk light yarn if you’re wanting to use a thicker yarn i would suggest going up in hook sizes ( this is also stated within the pattern notes ) yarn scissors and a yarn needle, I used Paintbox yarns simply dk in the shade Duck Egg Blue 135 for the main blanket colour using 5 balls off 100g, 50g of Yarn Smiths Create Dk in shade light sage 3185, 50g of Paintbox yarns simply dk in the shade Banana Cream 120, 50g Paintbox yarns simply dk in the shade Rosy Pink 62, 50g of Paintbox yarns simply dk in the shade White 100.

The measurements averaged around 35 inches wide and 35 inches long, you can make it longer if preferred again this is within the pattern notes.

You can change to puff stitch for a bobble stitch it’s all in the pattern notes.
