The Little Scarf
The Little Scarf was designed to be lightweight, delicate and dainty. Using a single strand of mohair, this pattern was intended to be made in lace-weight yarn with minimal yardage as the perfect springtime companion. Remember those half skeins and scraps you have left? They are perfect for this quick and mindless crocheted scarf!
Construction:
The Little Scarf is crocheted top-down beginning with a magic ring and double crochet stitches. The pattern is then finished with an optional picot edge.
Yarn Structure:
Mohair yarn is created by stranding the long delicate mohair into a more sturdy silk base. This means that frogging a row or even a few stitches can be difficult if you work too fast. In order to rip back, be sure to take your time, breath, and when all else fails, move forward or start over. Don’t let the structure of the delicate yarn discourage you from the pattern. I have found that this pattern is very forgiving so work at a pace that is best for you.
If you would prefer to crochet this pattern in less floofy yarn, please do so.
