Designed by myself, this chunky cowl is part of a series of cowls I’m doing inspired by New York, my home state. They are designed to be comfortable, fun to knit, and perfect to wear with a stylish wool coat or a denim jacket.

The Long Island Cowl was named after the beautiful stretch of island that stretches out to the East from New York City. The cowl reminds me of Long Island for 2 reasons… it’s long! And also it took me about 5 hours to knit this cowl… the same amount of time it takes to drive out ot the tip of Long Island and back to Manhattan.

Wear it single OR double looped, depending on your outfit and the temperature outside. Either way you’ll love the warmth of this chunky, versatile cowl.

Suggested yarns: Anything super bulky.

Needle size: 13 (9.0mm)
