This cabled beanie was designed to look like the hats that Louis Tomlinson from One Direction wears often! It’s a lot of fun and knits up pretty quickly.

There is only one size and gauge is not that important; it’s supposed to be slouchy, so if you knit a little too tight or a little too loose it’s not going to be a big deal as long as you use needles that are either the size I used or pretty close.

One skein of regular worsted weight (or similar) yarn should be fine - I used Vanna’s Choice which only contains 170 yards and I had some yarn left over.
