There is no specific gauge for this pattern. You can make your starting chain as short/long as you would like. For my blog post the pattern is written as an adult size scarf. To make this for a child or toddler just shorten the amount of your beginning chain.

For each stripe of the rainbow I used just a small amount of yarn, this scarf is the perfect stash buster project!

If you don’t want to make the appliques for the end of the scarf, you can easily sub in fringe! This scarf is so much fun because the customization possibilities are endless!
