The Mackinac Scarf
This is a basic, open ended scarf. Designed to be extra long, so it is able to be wrapped once, twice, or even tucked to resemble a cowl.
It features a nice ribbing on the top and bottom of the pattern and has a beautiful star stitch in the center.
It is worked long ways with a chain-less foundation. Pattern can be made in any length and width.
The yardage really depends on how long and wide you want to make it, mine was 6ft long and I used 3 skien of WET&Q solids.
If you prefer a cowl style check out the sister pattern- The Mackinac Cowl
