The bloom on the Magic Skagit Tulip Hat will never fade! The Skagit Valley is home to 300+ acres of bright & cheerful tulip fields, which receive over 1 million visitors each spring. Typically those beautiful fields are freeeeezing, it may be spring, but you still need a hat. This is a quick knit with some lace and fun botanical accents.
Gauge: 6 stitches and 12 rows= 4-inch square after blocking
Size: Baby (Child, Adult) OR to fit heads with up to 18 (20, 23) circumference in inches.
Yarn:
• Hat: 1 skein of Malabrigo Rasta or other super bulky yarn
• Sepal & Stem/Leaf: 20 yards of green super bulky yarn
• 5 yards of scrap yarn in same or similar green to attach details to hat
Shown in Malabrigo Rasta “English Rose” & “Lettuce” colorways
Notions:
• 16” Circular needles US 15
• Any length circular needles US 17 or 13 (used only for Cast On)
• Double Pointed Needles US 15 (if desired for decreases)
