The Marilyn skirt is a made to measure and size inclusive design, this means you measure yourself in the areas that the pattern requests and then follow the patterns instructions. This means it can be made for any age and size. The pattern is an intermediate crochet skill level that is written in US terminology.
The pattern contains written instructions, stitch graphs and pictures throughout so it also may be suitable for advanced beginners.
You will need any type of 4ply (fingering weight) cotton yarn, 3mm crochet hook and some elastic (size between 2-8mm) which will be placed into the waistline.
I used roughly 1000m of yarn for the sample size (small UK 8).
