The Mariposa swimsuit is a made to measure size inclusive pattern, this means you measure yourself and follow the patterns instructions.
The pattern is an advanced beginner to intermediate level, I do not suggest this pattern for complete beginners. The pattern does however provide detailed steps and pictures throughout.
you will need any type of 4ply (fingering weight cotton yarn) and a 3.5mm crochet hook to meet gauge, if you prefer to use an elastic type of fingering weight yarn instead you can. You will also need some elastic (2-4m) which will be added into your stitches at the upper waist, this helps make the swimsuit fitted to your body.
The pattern is made from top down, starting with the back straps that are worked in the rows and that slowly increase over the breast. You will make 2 these and then join both together under the breasts for the start of the bodice lace section which is worked in the continuous rounds. The crotch front and back panels are worked in the rows and seamed together underneath your crotch.
