The Marjolaine mittens
Mittens are the perfect little accessories for winter.
They can be knitted easily, if you are comfortable with the previous knitting stitches and that you have already made a few simple projects.
Then you will see that the techniques discussed for the mittens are not more complicated but you have to work carefully and in the right order!
You will learn how to do M1 increases, ‘bar’ increases and how to use ring markers.
To knit the mittens and the headband, you will need :
A pair of straight 3mm (US 2 1/2) and 3.5mm (US 4) needles
1 ball of D.M.C. Merino Essential 4 Tweed (50 g / 165 m) - category DK (8 ply)
A wool needle
2 ring markers
The gauge/tension in stockinette/stocking stitch on 3.5mm (US 4) needles :
22 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm
