The Marled Cardigan is the first installment of The Marled Collection, a collaborative effort between Laura Menéndez (Mimosa Café Lanar) and Vanessa Pellisa.

All of the patterns in the collection are knit using marled yarn, which looks great when used to create basic and thoughtful pieces. Most of the garments in the collection are unisex. Think elevated basics with a twist!

The collection includes both garments and accessories (6 patterns in total. 3 created by Laura and 3 by Vanessa).

The Marled Cardigan is worked top down with a seamless double knit button band and raglan sleeves.

Yarn
300 (320, 340, 370, 390) (410, 430, 450, 470) gr of Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive (70 % mohair, 30 % silk) 225 m/ 25 gr per skein held triple.
OR
325 (345, 365, 395, 415) (435, 455, 475, 505) gr of Midnattsol by Camarose (54% baby alpaca, 10% merino, 36% lyocell) 200 m/25 gr per skein held triple.
The cardigan is worked by holding three strands of yarn together. For the sample in the pictures, I used 2 skeins of Putty and 1 of Rust (Knitting for olive) held together.

Please, note.- You can replace the three strands of mohair for a single thread of worsted-weight yarn if you achieve gauge!

Needles
Gauge-size -> 5 mm / US 8 circular needle, cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” for the body and sleeves (or needle size to obtain gauge).
Below Gauge-size -> 4 mm / US 6 circular needle, cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” for ribbing.

Gauge
20 sts x 33.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch on larger needle after blocking.

El Marled Cardigan forma parte de la primera entrega de The Marled Collection, una colección colaborativa entre Laura Menéndez (Mimosa Café Lanar y Vanessa Pellisa.

El cardigan se teje a triple hebra a lo largo de todo el proyecto. La muestra de las fotos está tejida con dos hebras del color Putty y 1 del color Rust (Knitting for Olive). Puedes sustituir las tres hebras por una sola de una lana tipo worsted si logras conseguir la muestra.

Agujas
Muestra -> Circulares de 5 mm / US 8 con un cable de al menos 80 cm / 32” para el cuerpo y las mangas (o el tamaño necesario para lograr la tensión propuesta).
Elásticos -> Circulares de 4 mm / US 6 con un cable de al menos 80 cm / 32” para el cuerpo y las mangas.
