The Marlow Full Length Coat
This pattern is
available for free.
This coat is of the comfortable double breasted type, knitted in three pieces, back, and two fronts. The pattern is an old tapestry design, and looks very smart and distinctive when worked out in fawn and brick red. The fulness on hips, which is worked in the fronts, gives the coat a better fitting.
Materials required: 1¾lb. fawn “Cock o’ th’ North” double knitting wool, ½lb. red “Cock o’ th’ North” double knitting wool, 1 pair steel needles, size 8, 1 button mould.
add’l materials: silk to line collar and cuffs
Measurements: Length from neck to hem, 37in.; length of sleeve from neck, 27in.
