The place where I lived as a child had a baroque garden nearby, open to the public. Statues all around, you could play among antique heroes and unicorns, feeling like a little hero out of a fairy tale yourself. Best of all, there was a maze with endless paths to hide and seek. They don’t look so endless nowadays, but all things are relative. In memory of the fun that I had, this pillow is called The Maze.

It is made out of a sport weight cotton yarn, using a stripes and mosaic pattern. Both written line by line instructions and charts for the mosaic pattern are included.

Difficulty level: intermediate (stripes and mosaic)

Yarn: Steinbach Nizza (100% cotton; 140m/50g; 153yds/1.76oz); 2 balls of main color, 1 ball of contrast color. Sample used 182m/199yds of main color and 134m/147yds of contrast color.

Needles: 3.5mm/US 4

Notions: yarn needle, snaps (optional)

Gauge: 21 stitches/50 rows in mosaic pattern = 10cm/4in.

Size: for a pillow that is 30x30cm/12x12in

Der Ort meiner Kindheit hatte einen Barockgarten ganz in der Nähe, der für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich war. Statuen überall, man konnte zwischen antiken Helden und Einhörnern spielen und sich selbst wie ein kleiner Held aus einem Märchen dabei fühlen. Am allerbesten aber war der Irrgarten mit endlos verwinkelten Pfaden zum Versteckenspielen. Heutzutage sehen sie nicht mehr so endlos aus, aber alles ist relativ. In Erinnerung an diese Kindheitsfreuden heißt dieses Kissen The Maze (der Irrgarten).

Es wird aus leichter Baumwolle in Streifen und Hebemaschen gestrickt. Die Anleitung ist zur Gänze ausgeschrieben und beinhaltet auch Strickschriften.

Schwierigkeit: mittel (zweifarbiges Hebemaschenmuster)

Garn: Steinbach Nizza (100% Baumwolle; 140m/50g); 2 Knäuel von Farbe A (weiß), 1 Knäuel von Farbe B (blau). Verbrauch für das Beispiel: 182m von Farbe A und 134m von Farbe B.
