The Mere cardigan is a sweater for kids. This classic raglan worked on circular needles from the top down in one piece with raglan increases. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or using the magic loop technique. This pattern is so customizable depending on your length preferences. This cardigan should be worn with 4.75-7.5 inches/12-19 cm in positive ease at the chest.

The sizes 3-4 years (5-6 years) 7-8 years (9-10 years) 11-12 years correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 21-21.5 (22-23) 23.5-25 (25.5-27) 27.5-30 inches/53-55 (56-58) 59-63 (64-69) 70-76 cm.

16 stitches x 29 rows in garter stitch on the U.S. 9 (5.5 mm) needles = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm

Suggested needles:
U.S. 9 (5.5 mm) circular needles and U.S. 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed needles, if the sleeves are will be not worked using the Magic Loop Technique (or the necessary needle size to obtain gauge)

Suggested yarn:
Aran (8 wpi) weight yarn (wool 100%) 227g (8.01 oz) = 465 yd (425 m): 220 (270) 320 (370) 420 (470) g. Fishermen’s Wool from Lion Brand was used.
