The Mermaidia skirt is a size inclusive made to measure pattern, this means you measure yourself and then follow the patterns instructions. The pattern is an advanced beginner level, it’s a written pattern with many pictures throughout and I’ve also included a stitch graph for the lace ending for visual learners.

You will need any type of 4ply (fingering weight) cotton yarn in 1 or 3 colours, a 3.5mm crochet hook and any type of elastic (size 2-8mm). The thicker the elastic, the extra hold you will have at the waist, for the sample size I used 4mm.
I used roughly 1500m of cotton yarn in 3 colours, I used roughly 750m of cream, 250m of gold and 500m of brown for the size XS (UK 6) maxi version.
