This is inspired by the Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale and the miller’s daughter who is asked to spin straw into gold.

This cowl combines knits, purls, and drop stitches to create an organic looking plaid effect. The project is worked with either two fingering yarns held together (I used Malabrigo Sock and Queensland Uluru) or can be worked with a single DK weight yarn. If using two fingering yarns, you’ll need 220 yds of each. If using DK, 220 yds should suffice.

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks and Happy Knitting-
