Use any fingering weight (yarn weight 1) yarn. I’ve used the following, but any fingering weight should do:

Hobby Lobby Yarn Bee Hand Dyed Tonal in Chestnut Ember and Aged Gold

One Mini Maple Leaf requires 4 yards of Yarn Bee Hand Dyed Tonal.

I used a metal Boye hook size 1 with this yarn. Of course feel free to experiment with even thinner yarn, smaller thread, and smaller hooks.
