This is one of my favorite hats! Absolutely beautiful and simple to knit. I called this hat The Mirage because it is lacy, but when it is not being worn it does not look lacy. It has a real illusion-like quality to it. Easy knit! Great for beginners and sure to turn heads. This hat gets alot of compliments!

The pattern calls for 2 worsted (size 4) weight skeins of yarn. Less than 147 yards of each will do.

The gauge is all in the brim. 102 stitches around = 18 inch brim. 11 rows of which makes it 2” long. Keep in mind that a brim like this is very stretchy so it pretty much really is a one size fits all kind of hat. Feel free to adjust as you need by all means. The body of the hat has no gauge because it is meant to be slouchy and is lacy.

I like to use one solid color and one color changing or splotchy sort of yarn as my Second Color to make the lacy body of the hat really pop.
