Thank you for your interest in The Modern Rainbow Blanket! I’ve always loved the look of bright, colorful blankets but I hate weaving in so many ends. Well, Caron Cakes to the rescue!

This pattern uses 6 different colors of Caron Cakes yarn which does all of the color changing for you. With the way the pattern is written, most of the color changes occur near the ends of the rows so you can just keep right on crocheting. If you want the color changes to be at the very beginning of the next row, you can definitely always cut the yarn and start fresh with the new color at the beginning of the next row.

This pattern is perfect for beginning crocheters! It’s a simple but striking pattern. The big pompoms that are tied into the sides of the blanket make it even more fun!

Some pattern details:

• My finished blanket is 55” by 68”. You can make this blanket any size though, and directions to do so are written in the pattern.

• Have fun with the colors! There are so many Caron Cakes to choose from.

• Colors I used: Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Swirl, Pistachio Fudge, Blueberry Shortcake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Bumbleberry. PLEASE NOTE: You only need one ball per color for this blanket.
