Update October 2021 - I have taken the decision to cease publishing patterns as of Summer 2021, in the hope of moving on to something new. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for the love my work has received over the years - it means more than you can imagine!
The free patterns that are on my blog will remain, though all paid patterns from my Ravelry store and Etsy are no longer available.
If you would like to sell anything made from any of my past patterns - paid or free - you have my full blessing. I don’t require credit either as I am no longer using the EssHaych name professionally. I wish you all the best with the sales if you decide to do so!

These are The Monsties! I love making these as you can have lots of fun with all the different combinations of colours, expressions and hair styles!

EDIT: I have recently been made aware of a pattern that is very similar to the Monsties - The Buties, by Roxycraft http://www.roxycraft.com/crochet_buties.htm . Please be aware that hers were the original design, in 2008, mine in 2009. I was unaware of her design, and did not intend to copy. Please check out her patterns on her website www.roxycraft.com :)

You will need to know the basic crochet stitches (Single Crochet, Slip Stitch, Chain Stitch and Increase). I use a 3.75mm hook (US size F) and double knit yarn.
