This pattern has been tested by multiple people with different skill levels. It was tested with acrylic, cotton, velvet, and silky yarn and it worked up well across the board. It is beginner friendly.

I don’t have a yardage total, but when I made the beanie shown in the pattern, I had some yarn left over. One skein was enough to make the beanie and an oversized yarn pom.

Supplies
– Worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Parrot Stripe is the yarn seen in the pattern)
– J hook (6mm)
– Sewing needle
– Scissors

Terminology
Ch – Chain
Sl St – Slip stitch
SC – Single crochet
HDC – Half double crochet
3rd Loop – This is the loop underneath the back loop
BLO – Crochet into back loop only (loop furthest from you)
Puff St – With 1 loop on hook, yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, pull up a tall loop. Repeat three more times. When you have 9 loops on your hook, pull through all 9 loops. Ch1 to secure.
HDC2TOG – Half double crochet two together, to decrease
