A Hokusai-inspired cardigan with waist shaping and embroidery details.

The knitting pattern is a straightforward all-in-one bottom-up cardigan in twisted stockinette using 3-strands of silk mohair held together. I used Fyberspates Cumulus but there’s very little difference between the weights of differing brands so any silk mohair would suffice.

The colour changes are created by swapping out one strand of colour at a time. It can, of course, be knitted in a single colour if wished.

Likewise, the embroidery is optional and note, 1 skein of yarn (150m) is entirely for the embroidery. If this is omitted, discount it from the yarn requirement. The embroidery is very much at beginner’s level and there is a full photo tutorial on our website at www.yarnhyperdrive.com.
